5/52

"a portrait of my child once a week, every week, in 2016"

5/52 our cub: he can't get enough of the snow we received earlier this week. he spent hours outside shoving with dad, moving snow around and throwing the ball for dora. we even had to put the outside lights on at night after work so he could play in the backyard.

3/52 and 4/52

"a portrait of my child once a week, every week, in 2016"

3/52 our cub: since it has snowed he is obsessed with snowballs and the idea of snowballs. with dads assistance many of snowballs have been thrown. even better dora loves chasing snowballs and after a few hours in the snow they all nap so well. win win for everyone.

4/52 our cub: fish boat spotting. we enjoyed a wonderful long weekend in maine. the day we left, he kept asking where we were going and protesting that he didn't want to go home.  love him!

2/52 and 1/52

"a portrait of my child once a week, every week, in 2016"

2/52 our cub: he loves to be outside, but recently has been a little shocked by the cold weather and has been commenting about it. however, he has not yet said no to a good walk in the woods. it's mostly getting undressed and dressed that he doesn't like.

1/51 our cub: the post holiday hangover and head cold has had us down for the count for the first week of the year. (this is actually the only image i captured all week.) there has been lots of lazy mornings and cuddle time. our little one loves to celebrate a new day with a tickle love fest and of course i can't resist the great giggle he possesses. he even likes his arm pits lightly tickled before bed. not that he laughs he just likes the feeling. it seems to relax him. so weird, but whatever works.

linking up with practicing simplicity and her wonderful weekly portrait project. we will see if i can keep up with this little project this year. i have attempted to do these portraits the past two years and have not quite yet made to the end. so wish me luck and bring on the new year.
