kingston, keith and i made it through three full day of the newport folk festival this year. and our little one was a champ. every morning he patiently waited for the gates to open and was quite happy all weekend to be part of the crowd, music and excitement. this year there was an exceptionally big crowd, a little over crowded at times, but we enjoyed it just the same. as always the
lineup didn't disappoint and the weekend was a success. as our little guy gets older we hangout in the family tent a more each year. the tent is always breezy, includes a small stage, and offers little crafts and
late july corn organic chips which makes for happy kiddos and parents. kingston even scored a free cd from
ghost of paul revere after their great set.
our weekend favorites include roger waters, strand of oaks, nathaniel rateliff and the night sweats, and the young talented
sammy brue who if you don't know, you need to know in my opinion. i see a bright future for this east nashville kid. and as a surprise guest, james taylor played the main stage saturday night. it was an amazing weekend of music. if you would like to listen to a few of the weekends live recording click here:
